On Friday 9th October, we will be inviting students to wear something yellow to school as part of a special event for young minds. Young minds works to ensure that young people feel supported with their mental health and know that they are not alone. The charity provides accessible advice and resources for children and young people, as well as information and guidance for parents and carers who want to support their child’s emotional wellbeing. Taking part is entirely optional. Students who would like to participate could wear a yellow item of clothing or simply add a yellow accessory to their usual school attire. During form time, students will also have the opportunity to celebrate together with a breakfast, should they wish to take part. We hope this will be an enjoyable and positive way for our school community to come together, and we look forward to seeing a splash of yellow around school on Friday!

Thank you for your support.

It is with great pleasure that we present to your school community a National Wellbeing Gold Award in acknowledgment of your participation in the Raising Attainment with Wellbeing Programme: Putting wellbeing at the heart of learning, teaching and leadership.

I am personally delighted that a setting specialising in SEMH, ASD and SLD such as yours has chosen RAW to empower professional development. Mainstream schools, I have always believed, have much to learn from specialist settings like yours. For this reason, I thoroughly enjoyed reading and absorbing your Needs Analysis and Case Study submission. Thank you!
